1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using the Oppono platform ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Platform.

Oppono is operated by James (trading as Oppono) and can be contacted at admin@oppono.co.uk.

2. Usage

Oppono is currently in development. This means:

  • The Platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis during the development period
  • Features may change, be removed, or behave unexpectedly
  • Access to the platform is provided free of charge
  • We reserve the right to terminate access at any time
  • By participating, you acknowledge that the Platform is still in active development and may contain bugs or errors
  • We value user feedback and use it to improve the Platform. If you encounter issues, please report them via admin@oppono.co.uk or the in-app feedback form.

    3. Eligibility

  • Be involved in grassroots football in a legitimate capacity (coach, manager, club official)
  • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
  • Not be an individual or organisation that has previously been suspended or removed from the Platform
  • Oppono reserves the right to decline or terminate registrations at its sole discretion.

    4. User Responsibilities

By using Oppono, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate team and personal information
  • Treat other coaches and teams with respect in all communications
  • Only post availability slots you genuinely intend to fulfil
  • Respond to match requests in a timely manner
  • Not use the Platform to harass, threaten or abuse other users

  • Not use automated tools, bots or scripts to interact with the Platform
  • Not post false, misleading or defamatory information about other teams
  • Breaches of these responsibilities may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.

    5. Team Profiles and Content

You are responsible for all content you submit to Oppono, including team profiles, availability posts, match requests and messages.

By submitting content to Oppono, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content to other registered users of the Platform for the purpose of providing the service.

You retain ownership of your content. We will not sell or commercially exploit your content.

    6. Data Ownership

You own your personal data. We are the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR. We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Aggregated, anonymised platform statistics (such as total registered teams or total fixtures arranged) may be used by Oppono for marketing and reporting purposes. These statistics do not identify individual users or teams.

    7. Platform Availability

We aim to maintain high availability of the Platform but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Unplanned technical issues
  • Third-party service disruptions
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
  • We will endeavour to communicate planned downtime in advance where possible. During maintenance periods, no SLA (Service Level Agreement) applies.

    8. Liability Limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Oppono is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform
  • We are not responsible for the actions, content or reliability of other teams or users on the Platform
  • We are not liable for any failed fixtures, cancellations or disputes between teams arranged through the Platform
  • Our total liability to you in any circumstances shall not exceed £100
  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

    9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Oppono Platform, including the name, logo, design, code and content (excluding user-submitted content), belong to Oppono. You may not reproduce, copy, modify or distribute any part of the Platform without our express written consent.

    10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting admin@oppono.co.uk.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You breach these Terms and Conditions
  • You use the Platform in a manner that is harmful to other users or to Oppono
  • We are required to do so by law
  • Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

    11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

    12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
